Short Description:
Frostburg State University invites applications for the full-time, exempt position of Title IX Coordinator. The successful candidate will facilitate the University's commitment to promoting a learning and working environment free of discriminatory behavior, particularly sexual misconduct pursuant to Title IX; and will be responsible for leadership, coordination, and oversight of Title IX and addressing issues related to campus safety. This position will implement and monitor Title IX compliance and support a centralized compliance function in accordance with laws and regulations regarding campus safety. Salary commensurate with experience and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.

Description of Ongoing/New Duties:
Reporting to the President, the Title IX Coordinator provides strong management, leadership, and direction for aspects of Title IX and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, federal and state laws, and University policies related to campus safety. Duties including but not limited to:
Inform and educate the campus community regarding Title IX rights and responsibilities; collaborate with campus departments, organizations, and advisory groups; develop and implement training programs.
Implement and maintain University policies, including the processes for filing complaints and handling investigations and resolutions.
Prepare, maintain, and review data/records pertaining to training, complaints, investigations, and findings related to Title IX and other related statutes, regulations, and policies.
Oversee collaborations with community partners.
Assess the effectiveness of campus efforts to prevent sexual misconduct.
Recommend programs, policies, and procedures to senior University administrators and University Police.
Lead committees related to Title IX and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution. Significant experience demonstrating a clear understanding of Title IX and related compliance issues. Progressive responsibility and demonstrated experience in policy administration, complaint resolution, knowledge, and application of federal and state regulations related to Title IX, sexual harassment, campus safety, and other related laws. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including experience facilitating effective teamwork and the ability to work with and provide a high level of professional interaction with diverse stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to use discretion and good judgment, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in related field. Prior work experience in higher education strongly desired. At least five years of management in investigative, risk management, and/or compliance. Experience developing and implementing educational and training programs for diverse audiences, as well as experience handling complaint resolution, investigations, and adjudication.
