Applications are currently being accepted for Senior Secretary to the Dean of Student Equity, located at San Diego City College.

The Office of Student Equity spearheads student success by implementing best practices and innovative student-based initiatives. Departmental areas and initiatives include, but are not limited to, Student Equity Planning efforts, CalWORKS, Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), disAbility Support Programs & Services (DSPS), Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS), and Students Uplifted by Instructional Reform (SUBIR!) Title V initiatives.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Successful candidates demonstrate: maintaining an active calendar in a large organization; tracking and reporting on multiple budgets, grants and/or projects; advanced MS Excel skills; and strategies for collaboration and collegiality.

Pay Information:
Range 21 $3,501.42 $5,589.05 per month based on the current AFT Classified Unit Office Technical Salary Schedule.

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the AFT-Guild, Local 1931 Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and may accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
