Job Description:
Job Summary
Assists Tri-C staff in administering the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Sachs Small Businesses program. Aids in the monitoring of key program and faculty quality-related functions. Contributes to the successful operation of program support functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides a full range of program support for a complex, grant funded project
- Provides administrative support to supervisor in coordination of program initiatives and the operations
- Assists with the establishment and maintenance of organization and archival of program-related records as required by the College and external constituents
- Prepares correspondence, grant proposals, and other complex documents on behalf of the program
- Schedules meetings including appropriate external experts and internal counterparts needed to study and process current and emerging program concepts
- Assists with research and completion of special projects
- Assists in the data collection and preparation of program reports
- Purchases and supplies and equipment as needed, including coordinating maintain schedules with external vendors
- Attends committee and taskforce meetings as requested by program manager
- Records minutes of meetings and distributes minutes to committee members
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an office or program support role
- Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
- Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
- Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively
- Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Works accurately with great attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
- Demonstrated basic project management skills
- Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to effectively use social media tools to promote the program and generate awareness
- Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality
- Possess basic knowledge of fundamental administrative support concepts,practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
- Possess working knowledge of CRM and Constant Contact
- Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in an academic environment or working with grant funded projects
- Demonstrated experience working with administrative level professionals
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
