Applications are currently being accepted for Executive Assistant to the President in the Office of the President at Miramar College. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Major factors to be evaluated for an Executive Assistant to the College President may include: 1. Bachelors and Masters degree are preferred. 2. Successful experience in performing a variety of difficult and complex. administrative and secretarial duties such as effective note and minute taking and other duties outlined in the job announcement. 3. Ability to serve as a liaison between a senior administrator (president, vice president or similar position) and those serviced by the administrators office. 4. Successful experience in locating, communicating and interpreting policies and procedures. 5. Successful experience with monitoring budgets and overseeing purchases. 6. Ability to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day office operations. 7. Ability to assist with organizing and hosting special events. 8. Ability to perform office tasks using advanced features of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software. 9. Ability to prepare, collect, compile, assemble, and manage information, data, and reports. 10. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 11. Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.

Pay Information:
Range B ($4,359.70 $7,278.69) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees Association Salary Schedule A

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
