Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Distance Education and Learning Resources Manager, this position is responsible for providing assistance with the instructional process in accordance with the education objectives of the College. Work schedule is varied to include days and evenings; annual position hours = 1575.

Qualifications:
1. Two (2) year associate degree or two (2) year technical diploma, or four (4) years of related occupational experience, or a combination of education and related occupational experience totaling four years.
2. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with computer and media equipment and software packages including learning management systems.

Job Description:
  • Provide individual and large group instruction and support to students and staff. Areas of support include, but are not limited to: the WITC student portal, learning management systems such as Blackboard, email, cloud computing, file management, various Microsoft products including Office/Office 365, and unique curriculum-based software required for individual courses.
  • Provide curriculum and design training courses.
  • Work collaboratively with college staff across various divisions to meet the needs of students and staff in the utilization of technology.
  • Participate on teams and attend local and college-wide staff meetings and in-service workshops as appropriate.
  • Provide secure test proctoring for WITC students and non-WITC students, upon request.
  • Support students in the use of adaptive equipment and accessibility software.
  • Maintain and update the Educational Technology Center website.
  • Provide assistance to students setting up and troubleshooting various computing, mobile and peripheral devices.
  • Create training resources for staff and students, including on-demand training courses, video tutorials and workshops.
  • Provide training opportunities for faculty and students in the use of distance/ online education technologies, methods and procedures.
  • Conduct presentations and training on educational tools, services and resources to faculty and staff, as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring student conduct as well as assisting in the enforcement of school policies and procedures.
