Job Description
The Dean is the academic and administrative leader and officer for the School of Education and reports directly to the Provost. The Dean is the academic and administrative officer of the Division of Education and reports directly to the Provost.

Required Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership and management skills including a minimum of three (3) years as a Department Chair, Director or Administrator in an accredited program; experience in curricular development, strategic planning, assessment, program maintenance, budgeting and shared governance. Successful experience with accreditation procedures and processes is preferred.

Currently:
An earned doctorate in education or appropriate field; a strong record of teaching, scholarship, and service to permit a faculty appointment at the rank of full professor; at least ten (10) years of experience as a faculty member in a comprehensive university, successful experience in university community relations; administrative experience at the departmental chair level or above; demonasted administrative experiences in preparing for NCATE accreditation; experience establishing and directing graduate prorams at outreach centers.

Preferred Qualifications
A Doctorate in Education
