Position Overview:
The Curriculum & Assessment Manager serves as a resource to deans and faculty in the development of new and modified courses and programs for traditional and alternative delivery. The position facilitates the Collegewide outcome assessment process and works with deans and faculty on creating effective assessment plans used to make data-informed program decisions. This position is responsible for ensuring that curricula meet the established WITC and Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) standards and credit for prior learning.

The Curriculum & Assessment Manager reports to the Dean, Academic Programs/Ashland Region.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree required (Masters degree preferred)
2. Two years of teaching experience required; college teaching preferred
3. Experience in curriculum design, development, and assessment preferred
4. Wisconsin Instructional Design System (WIDS) experience preferred
5. Experience in project management preferred
6. Some travel required; ability to obtain drivers license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy

Job Description:
Learner Success

  • Assist faculty with curriculum design for new and modified courses and programs for traditional and alternative delivery, utilizing WIDS (Worldwide Instructional Design System) software. Ensure WITC and WTCS standards are met.
  • Serve as a resource to faculty to create valid and relevant Collegewide outcome assessments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of WIDS, including instructional strategies and assessments.

Operational Effectiveness

  • Integrate development of credit for prior learning with WIDS development and modification. Oversee and coordinate maintenance of Collegewide credit for prior learning files and webpage.
  • Management of process for academic assessment related to Collegewide outcomes and Technical Skills Attainment (TSA).
  • Supervision of Academic Affairs Assistant.

Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the Intuitional Effectiveness Department to advance academic assessment at WITC .
  • Serve as WITC representative on statewide WIDS Users Group.
  • Serve as WIDS Designee and Site Administrator.
  • Serve as WITC representative on the WTCS credit for prior learning team.
