Everett Community College is seeking a Computer Science instructor for the Engineering and Computer Science Department. This is a full-time tenure-track position reporting to the Math & Science Division Dean.

The successful candidate will:
- Prepare and teach introductory Computer Science courses ranging from introductory programming to advanced data structures.
- Facilitate student learning by using a variety of lecture, discussion, laboratory, demonstration, technology-based, and collaborative formats.
- Identify and implement procedures/techniques to assess individual student learning, as well as achievement of course learning outcomes.
- Assist and mentor students interested in Computer Science careers.
- Participate in all other tasks in accordance with faculty contract and College policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
- M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated preparation for teaching introductory Computer Science courses.
- Demonstrated experience in, and/or classroom strategies for, effectively instructing students from diverse backgrounds including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion

Preferred Qualifications:
- Documented experience in teaching computer science at the college level.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a coherent computer science curriculum.
- Evidence of implementing project-based collaborative learning activities in introductory courses.
- Evidence of commitment to and involvement in professional and campus activities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues in developing curricula, managing departmental activities and college service.
- A philosophy of education appropriate to a learning-centered community college.
- Ability to teach courses in numerical analysis and/or electrical engineering.

Work Hours: The teaching load typically consists of three courses during each of three quarters (September through June). The teaching schedule will typically include late afternoon or evening teaching assignments. Summer teaching is optional and may be available.
