Position Overview:
Applications are currently being accepted for a Career Specialist/Recruiter position at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Superior Campus from qualified candidates who are results oriented, energetic, can work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate effective communication skills and excellent customer service experience. The Career Specialist/Recruiter educates community members of the offerings of WITC, generates leads and assists prospective students by guiding them through the career exploration and enrollment process. This position requires a high level of creativity, flexibility, and outstanding interpersonal communication skills. The candidate should also possess a positive, upbeat and energetic personality.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
2. Work experience in sales, college admissions or higher education recruitment.
3. Demonstrated skills of sales and marketing, relationship building and being a team player.
4. Ability to obtain drivers license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy.

Job Description:
Learner Success
*Develop and coordinate recruitment strategies for traditional and non-traditional students, including outreach to minorities.
*Participate in campus teams to develop and implement strategies and activities to promote enrollment.
*Develop and deliver career education presentations/workshops for targeted audiences.
*Research best practices in recruitment.
*Research career and labor market trends and develop recruitment strategies to best reach target markets.

Operational Effectiveness
*Actively work in northwest Wisconsin to develop the Technical College image and culture with K-12, Adult learners, business and industry, and service provider stakeholders.
*Represent WITC and build relationships with prospective students and their families.
*Explain benefits and objectives of the degrees and certificate programs offered to prospective students and families.
*As a territory manager, frequent travel is required to conduct workshops, deliver presentations, attend college & school fairs, and local events throughout the year, travel is primarily within the district, and some out of district overnight travel is required.
*Explain and interpret admissions policies and procedures to prospective students and families
*Explain courses within degree and certificate programs to prospective students and families, maintain detailed knowledge of all academic programs.
*Organize regional (in and out of territory) group information sessions for prospective students & families, school counselors, teachers, and other stakeholders.
*Develop measurable recruitment objectives and prepare recruitment reports that address emphasis on targeted student population enrollment, program enrollment, and enrollment management goals.
*Develop minority student recruitment/retention plan and assess effectiveness.
*Represent WITC at college fairs statewide and in adjacent states.

Partnerships
*Serve as liaison to community high schools, agencies and reservations.
*Represent WITC at community events such as job fairs, conferences, and county fairs.
*Actively partner with local school districts to increase direct from high school enrollment.
*Actively partner with local business, groups, service providers and other stakeholders to increase adult learner enrollment.
*Creatively explore the development of new partnership arenas.
*Actively participate in campus, regional, community, college-wide, and state teams and committees.
