General Information:
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Campus Support Assistant at the WITC New Richmond Campus.
Position Overview
The Campus Support Assistant at the New Richmond Campus provides a full range of support service functions in all areas of the College with a focus on the Institutional Effectiveness Division. Responsibilities are comprehensive, diverse, and multifaceted, requiring broad knowledge of all related College policies and procedures. Working in a team environment, individuals provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and external stakeholders with minimal supervisory guidance. This position is part-time and will be scheduled 1456 hours per fiscal year.

- Support the Administrative Specialist.
- Assist in recruitment and selection process for new staff at the campus.
- Provide cross-functional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Assess customer needs and take appropriate action.
- Research and proactively assist customers in solving problems. Follow up until problem is resolved and/or refer to appropriate staff when necessary.
- Organize, establish, and maintain electronic database and paper filing systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot office equipment, including duplication equipment.
- Inventory and order supplies for duplication.
- Process duplication requests.
- Open, prioritize and route incoming mail.
- Process outgoing mail and packages.
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Provide customer service in response to cable viewer and producer inquiries.
- Maintain accuracy in data entry of cable access program schedules.
- Operate a proprietary broadcast software scheduling system.
- Transfer files within Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Other related job duties as assigned.
Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years related post-secondary education/training OR four years related work experience, OR a combination of related post-secondary training/education and work experience totaling four years.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of computers, computer applications (including, but not limited to, MS Office products) and software such as email, word processing and spreadsheet programs required.
- Ability to contribute to a team environment.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with students, staff and faculty.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of current office practices and procedures and skill in their application.
- Ability to be detail-oriented, well organized, to work independently on assigned tasks, and to work under pressure.
