Call Staff WITC Ladysmith Outreach Center

Position Overview:

Hours: varies; mostly late afternoon & evenings (4PM to 8:30PM)

Approx. 5-8 hrs week, sometimes more or less based on coverage & Center needs

The duties for this Call Staff position will include, but not be limited to the following tasks:

Serve as customer service contact for students: assess individual student needs and provide accurate information & resources.
Assist and advise students, staff and faculty in the proper use of instructional equipment including BlueJeans, videoconferencing, LCD projectors and computers.
Act independently to provide services and support to the Outreach Center.
Open, close, and secure facility.
Provide seamless day-to-day operation of the Outreach Center.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year related post-secondary education/ training OR two years related work experience, OR a combination of related post-secondary education/ training and work experience totaling two years.
Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of computers, computer applications and software such as email, word processing and spreadsheet programs (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to contribute to a team environment. Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with students, staff and instructors.

Standing, Walking (Frequently);
Sitting, handling/fingering, reaching outward, reaching above shoulders (Occasionally);
Lifting/Carrying 10 lbs. or less (Frequently), 11-20 lbs. (Occasionally);
Pushing/Pulling 12 lbs. or less (Occasionally)

Hours:
Hour will vary greatly; infrequent; availability to work must allow for flexibility and short notice

$12.33 / hour
