Job Summary/Basic Function:
Everett Community College has an opening for an Anatomy and Physiology Instructor for Fall quarter.

This position reports to the Dean of Math and Science.
- Prepare and teach Anatomy, Physiology or Introductory Biology classes.
- Facilitate student learning by using a variety of lecture, discussion, laboratory, demonstration, technology-based, and collaborative formats.
- Identify and implement procedures/techniques to assess individual student learning, as well as achievement of course, program, and college learning outcomes.
- Assist, advise, and mentor students in the Biology Program.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Biology or related field
- Demonstrated competence in college instruction, in both classroom and laboratory settings.
- Demonstrated experience, and/or classroom strategies for, effectively instructing students from diverse backgrounds including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion

Preferred Qualifications:
- Documented excellence in teaching college-level Anatomy and/or Physiology
- Demonstrated experience using a variety of different teaching modalities (such as lecture, discussion, group activities, etc.)
- Proficiency in curriculum and lesson development, demonstrated by sample syllabus, lecture outline, lab plan and class activities on the nervous system.
- A philosophy of education appropriate to the community college.
