Associate Degree Nursing Instructor (adjunct) WITC Rice Lake Campus

General Information:
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is seeking adjunct faculty who are passionate about student learning in our Associate Degree Nursing Program at the WITC Rice Lake Campus.

Position Overview
Qualified candidates must have completed or be enrolled in a Master's program in Nursing. Candidates must also have an active unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of WI or be license eligible. As an adjunct instructor you will teach and supervise nursing students in our community-based hospital clinical settings. Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience in medical surgical nursing.

We currently have an opening for our Spring 2021 semester on our Rice Lake Campus. Day and PM shift rotations on various days throughout the week are available. Clinical rotations typically run two days per week for six to eight weeks. WITC Instructors teach in a discipline area in which they have specific training and competence. Instructors are expected to foster learner success, assess learner achievement, and continually improve learning opportunities. Instructors teach in a variety of learning environments including face-to-face, online, web-conferencing, and hybrid classrooms. Instructors are expected to continually improve the overall quality and delivery of learning, including the support of program and collegewide initiatives.

Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing required only occasionally.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master's degree with a major in nursing (MS or MSN); or master's degree in nursing-public health or nursing education. Candidates who are currently enrolled and have made substantial progress towards a master's degree with a major in nursing (MS or MSN) or master's degree in public health-nursing or nursing education may be considered if they have obtained a BSN.
2. Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) occupational nursing experience.
3. Direct care experience as a practicing nurse within the past five years required.
4. Current active unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse including licensure in the State of Wisconsin and Minnesota by start date.
5. Dedication and commitment to student success and a commitment to the technical college mission.
6. Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in or preparation for teaching in an associate degree nursing program preferred.
2. Teaching experience with strong background in student assessment preferred.

Salary

Faculty Wage Range Table
$44.00/hour if FQAS courses have not been completed
$49.00/hour if FQAS courses have been completed.
