About the Opportunity:
The Assistant to the Regional Dean provides primary administrative support including schedule management, travel planning, and correspondence for the Seattle campus leadership including the Campus Dean/CEO, Associate Dean, Business and Outreach Director, and Dean's other direct reports as needed. The Assistant to the Regional Dean will ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the daily operations of the Dean's Office particularly in the area of administrative support to the Dean. The Assistant to the Regional Dean will execute a variety of time-sensitive and complex responsibilities including routine interface with University leaders and community members on administrative, substantive and confidential matters. This includes assisting in mobilizing, tracking and completing key projects, report obligations and tasks. Administrative responsibilities include the preparation of draft communications, daily correspondence, special messaging on behalf of the campus leadership, strategically scheduling meetings, travel, proofreading documents, and conducting research for important projects.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant to the Regional Dean is responsible for developing effective systems to manage the Dean's administrative needs as well as the administrative needs of the Dean's Office. S/he must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the Dean and will manage relations with key constituents, frequently communicating with the Seattle staff and internal/external stakeholders. The position may require evening or weekend hours on occasion. In this fast-paced office, the successful candidate will be extremely adept at planning and prioritization, tactful communication, and will possess a strong organizational background along with ability to be flexible, professional, and creative in responding to requests with very short turnaround.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred. Minimum of 5 years of executive support preferably in higher education or executive setting. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, project management ability and attention to detail required. Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite, presentation, Outlook email, spreadsheet and database software. Individual must have strong organizational, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented, able to understand complex material to communicate effectively and must be able to work with confidential information and prioritize tasks and demands. Must be able to take initiative and follow through on tasks independently. Must possess a thorough knowledge of professional office procedures, good judgment, discretion and problem-solving skills, and meticulous proof-reading skills. Must have strong time management skills and be comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
