The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego invites applications for an open rank, tenure-track position in Conflict Analysis and Resolution beginning in September 2018. The preferred candidate will have a strong record of teaching and scholarship that can contribute to the Kroc School's expanding graduate programs in Peace and Justice, Social Innovation, and Conflict Management and Resolution, including in the areas of religion and environment. Field-based experience in conflict resolution/transformation, conflict prevention and peacebuilding in the U.S. or abroad is strongly preferred. We welcome applications from faculty coming from peace and conflict studies, religious studies, sociology, history, psychology, anthropology, political science, international relations or related fields whose teaching and research agendas intersect substantively with conflict resolution.

To be successful in our environment, you must be able to teach courses by integrating out-of-the-classroom experiential learning and community engagement. Candidates must demonstrate strong teaching experience as well as a commitment to program development and institution building.
