Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. Job Description:

Teach courses, including oral communication and/or journalism, in the Communication Department.



Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellites and instructional centers, including the Charlestown and Chelsea campuses, Chelsea High School Early College Program, Madison Park Vocational Technical High School in Roxbury, Malden High School, the Freedom House in Dorchester, and the Pao Arts Center in Chinatown.


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, or closely related field required. Master's degree or doctorate in an interdisciplinary field with core coursework in Communication will be considered if graduate transcript(s) are submitted with application.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Teaching experience required; community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Communities or openness to engaging in the teaching of Learning Communities preferred.


QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE ADJUNCT ACADEMY PRIOR TO BEING ASSIGNED COURSES.


Additional Information:

Salary: $1,140.00 per credit hour
