Job Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine's Office of Medical Education (OME) is seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative IT professional to join its Integrated Learning and Technology team. This role will lead process improvements, leverage AI and Microsoft tools to implement automation, and drive innovation across OME's diverse teams and units. The position works closely with leadership and managers to streamline workflows, support data-informed decision-making, and enhance user experience through advanced solutions like AI-powered avatars. The ideal candidate is passionate about change management, with a strong interest in developing training, guiding technology adoption, and promoting a culture of digital literacy and continuous improvement.
Supervision Received: Reports directly to the UME IT Program Manager
Supervision Exercised: This position will have no direct reports; however, the position must have the ability to influence and guide non-direct reports through change and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement & AI Integration
- Analyze and redesign workflows using Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Identify automation opportunities and integrate AI tools to enhance decision-making, task management, and engagement.
- Support implementation, monitor KPIs, and track ROI of AI-driven improvements.
- Serve on the OME AI Steering Committee and align tech initiatives with strategic goals.
- Support educational and operational excellence through data-driven improvements.
Digital Tools & Project Delivery
- Leverage Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot tools to build apps, automate workflows, and enhance productivity.
- Manage small- to mid-size projects from planning to deployment, ensuring documentation, timelines, stakeholder coordination, and post-project review.
- Collaborate across teams using Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for communication and knowledge sharing.
Employee Training & Change Enablement
- Design and deliver training and documentation for new technologies and systems.
- Facilitate workshops and change management efforts across OME.
- Promote digital literacy and support adoption through onboarding and feedback loops.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Additional on-site days may be required as needed. Please see the campus-wide policy for additional information.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 1-year professional hands-on experience with process mapping tools and automation platforms
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or digital transformation
- Experience AI technologies such as NLP, machine learning, and conversational AI
- Experience with avatar development platforms (e.g., Synthesia, Soul Machines, D-ID)
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, RPA, AI/ML, or Microsoft Power Platform
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent
- Experience working in academic, healthcare, or public sector environments and experience in Microsoft tools including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, Teams, and Azure AI
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or ServiceNow
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and experimentation
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible solutions for non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops and training sessions
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across diverse teams and disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to foster innovation and drive adoption of emerging technologies across an organization
- Experience designing and delivering training programs, including instructional materials, hands-on sessions, and virtual learning modules
- Ability to assess user readiness and tailor training approaches to different learning styles and technical skill levels
- Comfortable facilitating change enablement and promoting digital literacy across teams
- Exposure to agile methodologies and product management frameworks
- Understanding of business process analysis, re-engineering, and automation principles

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $63,391-$80,633
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
