Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy (Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor)

Description: The University of Notre Dame invites applications for the position of Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy, a role that includes an open-rank appointment as a teaching professor. We seek someone with broad expertise in educational development, deep knowledge of inclusive pedagogy, and practical experience implementing inclusive pedagogies within and beyond their academic discipline. Working as part of the ND Learning team and with faculty colleagues, the program director will:
  • serve as a visible campus advocate for learning initiatives;
  • design and facilitate workshops on a variety of inclusive pedagogy topics;
  • consult and collaborate with individual faculty and teaching teams on the development, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive teaching strategies;
  • maintain an active scholarly and professional presence in the field of inclusive pedagogy;
  • teach one course per year for Notre Dame undergraduates in an academic department or program.

This position is located within the Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence, a core component of Notre Dame Learning, the University's central hub for transformational learning initiatives and a key driver of inclusive excellence.


Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated achievements in educational development, a track record of advancing inclusive teaching, professional fluency with broader higher education teaching and learning literature, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative disposition. Required qualifications include at least two years of experience working in educational development, a terminal degree, and evidence of effective teaching at the post-secondary level.
