Vice President of Administrative Services/Chief Financial Officer
 

Aims Community College, a growing and forward-thinking public institution in Greeley, Colorado, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next vice president of administrative services/chief financial officer (VP/CFO). The successful candidate will join Aims at a time of significant institutional momentum and financial strength, with the opportunity to help shape the College's continued growth and future direction. This is an in-person leadership role. 

Aims Community College is a fully accredited, public, and locally tax-supported two-year college. It has four campuses across northern Colorado, with an additional Flight Center location. Greeley has been home to the 185-acre main campus for more than 50 years, with other campuses in Loveland, Fort Lupton, and Windsor. Aims offers over 200 degrees and certificates from more than 50 academic areas of study. 

Reporting directly to the chief executive officer (CEO)/president and serving as an integral member of the Cabinet, the VP/CFO provides strategic leadership and direction for the Administrative Services division. The VP/CFO will play a critical role in shaping institutional strategy, stewarding the College's financial and physical resources, and ensuring that administrative operations effectively support Aims' educational mission and commitment to student success. The VP/CFO has responsibility and authority for establishing the strategic direction and priorities of the division, and provides vision, broad oversight, and leadership for Financial Services, Facilities and Operations, the Aims Community College Foundation, and the business and operational services that report through the assistant vice president. The VP/CFO leads a dynamic team of 83, including five direct reports, and administers an annual budget of $9.7 million (Aims' annual budget is approximately $182 million). 

Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000  

Qualifications 

A graduate degree in business or a related discipline and a minimum of eight years of relevant, progressively responsible leadership experience are required. Of the required eight years of experience, candidates must have at least four years of supervisory experience in higher education or another relevant public-sector organization related to the duties and responsibilities outlined in this position specification, as well as five years of progressively responsible professional experience in accounting and budgeting, including responsibility for budgets exceeding $75 million. Candidates must also demonstrate a successful record of overseeing multiple departments or divisions, budgets, personnel, and other relevant administrative functions. Preferred qualifications include four years of experience in financial database systems analysis and applications; three years of experience serving as a vice president for administrative services/chief financial officer, or in an equivalent senior leadership role; licensure as a certified public accountant (CPA); and experience in Colorado higher education.
