Associate's Degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's Degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level required an additional one year of experience. Advanced level required an additional two years of experience.

Primary Purpose of Organization Unit:
The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is responsible for management and support of all aspects of computing and telecommunications throughout the entire University. DoIT manages the campus data, voice and video network, wide-area and Internet connections, and central servers providing application, database, file, web and streaming media services. DoIT maintains and supports applications supporting instructional and research activities of faculty as well as student records, registration, housing, financial aid, recruitment and admissions, purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, human resources, and development. DoIT also maintains and supports business analysis and intelligence systems and participates in the collection and reporting of data to internal and external entities. In addition, DoIT offers training in computing and desktop applications, manages and maintains campus desktops, laptops, peripherals and projectors, and manages and supports campus computing labs and classroom technology.
Primary Purpose of Position:
To provide second and third-tier technology support and consultation to clients in the use of university technologies via telephone, email, and walk-up contacts.
Job Description:
A Technology Support Analyst provides consultation, support, and/or training to users of computer or other information technology based systems supported by the university, as well as basic support of hardware, software, operating systems and networking. This position requires a broad range of knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of technologies to effectively support users' technical needs. The position normally interacts with a broad range of users requiring strong communication skills and the ability to use a variety of technical resources for providing technical support. May provide routine support for a broad range of information related technologies, or may provide in-depth support for a narrowly defined area of technology.
Management Preference:
Experience in a Higher Education IT Support unit; Help Desk and Desktop Management experience; Associate's Degree; Familiarity with: ServiceNow, BeyondTrust, Video Conferencing Tools: Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Lenovo and Macintosh Hardware and Desktop Management Tools: i.e. InTune, Jamf Pro.
