Supervisor of Critical Studies Program

The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Los Angeles Campus, is seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to oversee and direct the Critical Studies Program. Ideal candidate will have an accomplished record of academic stewardship for a college bachelor's or master's program, along with demonstrated success supporting the needs of faculty and student development; excellent communication skills; and the ability to establish and maintain the confidence and respect of faculty, staff, students, alumni and the professional community.

Responsibilities include creating, evaluating, and contributing to curriculum for the school's degree programs; overseeing critical studies course scheduling; actively instructing and teaching key courses; and initiating and maintaining clear communication with administrative and executive staff, as well as with industry and professional organizations within the Los Angeles region.

The Critical Studies Program combines courses in English, Theatre Roots (comprised of instruction related to theatre history and humanities), Creative Exploration (comprised of instruction related to psychology, sociology, language and culture), and Science & Technology.

Qualified candidates must possess an accredited doctorate degree (PhD or EdD), and have experience in the disciplines offered within the Program.
