Description & Requirement Working Title: Director of Compliance
Salary: $2915.47 min to $4113.20 midpoint
Position Summary: The University of New Mexico, member of the Mountain West conference, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Compliance. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and will oversee the daily operation of a Division I NCAA compliance program for athletics department and university staff, representatives of athletics interests, various sports and other outside constituencies. This involves education and monitoring and enforcement of NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
The Director of Compliance is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and maintenance of the university's comprehensive compliance program. Primary responsibilities include developing, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive rules education program for constituencies within and outside of athletics; implementing and maintaining effective operating procedures and administrative systems to ensure institutional compliance; serving as a resource for the University community on athletically-related compliance regulations; and maintaining and coordinating procedures for compliance with NCAA, conference and University regulations.
This is a benefits eligible position.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 1 to 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NCAA software and databases such as CAi, LSDBi, and AMA online.
Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division I bylaws.
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills as supported in resume and cover letter
