Description & Requirement Position Summary: The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
This position is with CDD's Neuro-developmental Division and will provide expertise to the Autism Programs' increased scope of work for diagnosis, assessment and intervention of autism spectrum disorders for Spanish speaking children and their families. Teaching of both parents and professionals will be a significant portion of this position as is diagnosis, assessment and intervention in the home setting. Position may include clinical supervision of speech-language pathologists obtaining their Certificate of Clinical Competence. Some travel will be required with this position.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech Pathology or an equivalent discipline; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology; State of New Mexico Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
