Description & Requirement

Postdoctoral position in Computational Materials Science. Applicant will help develop hybrid modeling formalism combining first principles calculations with disclination-based grain boundary descriptions to predict solute-induced stabilization of nanostructured metals. Applicants must have a PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, proven experience with first principles calculations and/or analytic defect modeling, an ability and inclination to work collaboratively within a large group, and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
