The IMDEA Food Foundation is recruiting researchers of the highest international profile with emphasis on young investigators who want to advance their research career at IMDEA Food.
Within this context, the IMDEA Food Foundation launches this Call for the recruitment of postdoctoral scientists according to the specifications listed below:   
•        Ref. PD2012/001- Postdoctoral Researcher on Translational Oncology

Job Category        Biomedical research/ cancer/ genomics/ tumor biomarkers/bioactive compounds/antitumoral adjuvant therapy/nutrition/lipid metabolism.
Job Description        Development of a research line focused on translational oncology.
Participates in the development of study protocols including participation in study design discussions, grant proposal preparations and study protocols.  
General support to principal investigator in additional tasks, projects and personnel training.
Qualifications        Demonstrated expertise in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology including cell culture, Western blotting, cloning, microscopy, flow cytometry, gene expression and miRNAs analysis.
Expertise in working with laboratory animals (mice).
Experience with dietary supplementation studies and biostatistical analysis is preferred.
Demonstrate positive attitude, professional and excellent communication skills both written and speaking. High English language level is required.
Ability to identify and resolve areas of concerns. Work with others as necessary. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload.
Authorship in peer-reviewed publications and patents.
Education         Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences

Conditions.
Selected candidate will be given a full-time contract according to standard regulations in Spain. Level and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The incorporation of the candidate to the IMDEA Food Institute is expected to be immediately after the selection process.
Evaluation and selection of candidates.
Successful candidates will be selected by a review panel based on the profiles described in Annex 1 as appropriately outlined in their CVs and project. When necessary, personal interviews will be scheduled with  pre-selected candidates.
