Description & Requirement

A postdoctoral position is available at Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, PA) for a highly motivated individual with experience in X-ray crystallography, protein biochemistry, and manuscript preparation. We are interested in understanding the structural and molecular mechanisms of the signaling events in tumor metastasis. The position will focus on investigating the structural basis of regulatory mechanisms in cell migration and cell adhesion mediated by cytoskeletal proteins and their adaptor proteins. This will be accomplished through a combination of X-ray crystallographic studies, in vitro binding assays, in-cell fluorescence experiments, and functional studies using cell culture.

The successful candiates should hold or expect to receive a PhD soon in structural biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields. Experiences in cell culture or cancer biology are preferred but not required. Please send a brief summary of previous research experience and current interests, an updated CV, and contact information of 3 references to: Jinhua.wu@fccc.edu
