Description & Requirement A postdoctoral position is available in the Biomedical Optics and Retinal Imaging group (http://www.eng.uab.edu/xcy/) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Alabama at Birmingham. The candidate would have excellent opportunities to interact with researchers in Engineering and Vision Science for a multi- & interdisciplinary research training. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Optics, Electronics, Physics, or other related disciplines. Demonstrated excellence in laboratory instrumentation, computer control and data/image processing is required. Proficiency in programming using Labview, IDL, or Matlab is necessary. Self motivation and creativity are highly desirable. Hand-on experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: OCT, confocal microscopy, and retinal imaging.
