We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher for a joint human/basic neuroscience project.

The joint lab of “Neuroplasticity and Neuromodulation” at the Dept. of Neurology investigates the contribution of motor skill learning and non-invasive brain stimulation to recovery after brain lesions on the cellular, synaptic, molecular, electrophysiological and behavioral level in rodents, healthy subjects and patients. The applicant should have a strong interest in translational neuroscience (human and rodent electrophysiology, noninvasive brain stimulation), experience in working with neurological patients or healthy volunteers, is highly motivated to design and conduct research projects in the field of neuromodulation, with the aim of transition into clinics.

Candidates with a MD degree or a PhD degree in neuroscience, (neuro)psychology, physical therapy are considered. English and basic German language skills are mandatory. Experience with human non-invasive brain stimulation is required; analysis of MRI data and/or basic molecular biological methods and animal handling is considered an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of publications in international journals.
