Description & Requirement Opening exists for one post-doctoral fellow to join a multidiscplinary group of scientists and graduate students to work in the area of Skin Drug Delivery and nanomaterials. The incumbent would be responsible for synthesis and evaluation of polymeric and other novel nanomaterials for protein, peptide and small molecule delivery systems for topical and transdermal delivery (psoriasis, contact and allergic dermatitis, vaccine delivery). The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree (awarded) in the field of polymeric nanomaterials, pharmacy, nanomaterials science, polymer science or synthetic chemistry, with emphasis on nanomaterials and drug delivery systems. Post-Ph.D experience either at a research institute or a pharmaceutical company and exposure in polymer synthesis, skin drug delivery is preferred. Our laboratory provides strong support for the development of independent projects leading to a productive career for post-doctoral candidates with successful careers in academia and industry in the US and abroad. The candidate must be highly motivated and capable of working in a team with good interpersonal skill and willingness to teach and share. Requirements: Candidate having his/her PhD in polymeric nanomaterial chemistry or pharmacy. Should know about latest techniques in polymeric nanomaterials, synthesis and evaluation for protein and peptide delivery systems, targeted drug delivery systems and topical skin drug delivery.
