Description & Requirement

Participate in newly funded program to develop diagnostic instruments to measure the degree of expertise in physics problem solving and to develop pedagogy to teach such expertise. Our developing online environment involves an open source WIKI-text based on our new Modeling Applied to Problem Solving pedagogy that is integrated with the tutors MasteringPhysics.com and LON_CAPA.org. Applicant will have a Ph.D or Ed.D in physics/science education, educational psychology, or psychometrics, and must have experience in teaching physics. Some familiarity with theories of learning, test design and validation, and/or analysis of large educational datasets is desirable.   Applicants must be comfortable working in a small group and interacting with remote collaborators.
