A research team conducting drug discovery research at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is seeking to hire highly motivated Postdoctoral Associates to develop novel small molecules to selectively target human melatonin receptors. Research activities include synthesis (peptides, small organic molecules), purification (HPLC), analysis (LC-MS, NMR, IR), bioconjugation, radio and/or fluorescent labeling.
Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in organic chemistry and a good track record of publication. Applicants must possess good communication skills and be fluent in both spoken and written English. Experience and/or an interest in automated synthesis and purification would also be an advantage. Salary is competitive.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to interact with outstanding scientists engaged in drug discovery, drug development, and translational research at the University at Buffalo and all other centers and institutes in Western New York.
