Description & Requirement The High-energy Optics and Electronics Laboratory at National Tsinghua University (NTHU), Taiwan, invites applicants for a visiting/scholar or postdoctoral research position in the areas of particle acceleration, free electron laser, relativistic particle radiation, high power laser, and laser-plasma interactions. The initial appointment of this position begins immediately and ends on July 31st, 2010, but is renewable up to two years. The salary ranges from 22,000 USD/year for a fresh PhD to some higher amount for a senior scholar. This position offers a roundtrip flight ticket and health insurance to an international visitor (individuals from Mainland China are also welcome). On Taiwan, the living quality versus cost is relatively high.
