Post Doctoral Research Fellow - Space Physics Research Laboratory (SPRL)

A Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) position is available in the Space Physics Research Laboratory (SPRL) of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).  The successful candidate will be involved in electro-optical research systems development, calibration, and field operation at six globally distributed stations and in data analyses.  Research in SPRL focuses on joint Radar and Electro-Optical Remote-Sensing of Auroral processes, Magnetosphere-Ionosphere Interactions, Radio Heating of the Polar Ionosphere, and Upper Atmospheric Disturbances as well as Dynamics in both the Arctic and the Antarctic regions.   Initial appointment will be for a one year period.  

Candidates for this position must have completed a Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Allied Sciences and Engineering fields.  Interested applicants should submit:  1. a letter of interest, 2. a full CV,  3. research interests, and 4. contact information for three references.  Standard routine background investigation required.  Annual stipend will depend on the successful candidate's research experience.
