Description & Requirement The thematic project: “ASSESSMENT OF THE OCCURRENCE, TOXICITY/GENOTOXICITY AND PROCESS FOR DEGRADATION OF DYES IN WASTEWATER AND SURFACE WATER” supported by FAPESP, has a vacancy for post-doctoral research at the Department of Analytical Chemistry - Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP).
The project aims to obtain diagnoses about levels of contamination of textile industrial effluents and surface waters receiving residues of azo dyes and derivatives, as well as to evaluate their toxic and mutagenic effects in order to understand their transport processes, bioaccumulation, persistence and biotransformation on the environment or human metabolism, as well as to propose new treatment processes for complete removal of these compounds.
In this context, we are giving priority for candidates with experience in:
1. synthesis of TiO2 nanotube;
2. characterizations: morphological, structural, optical and electronic of nanomaterials structures;
3. photoelectrochemical applications;
4. development of large-scale reactors;
5. the results will contribute to the environmental agencies in drafting legislation more consistent for the disposal of dyes.
The group of researchers involved in this project conglomerate multidisciplinary knowledge in frontier areas of analytical chemistry and materials development.
Interested researchers should submit updated curriculum Lattes, a letter of introduction and a brief account of her experience and her interested in the subject, as well as two letters of introduction / recommendation. The language can be Portuguese or English.

The value of the Post-Doctoral Scholarship from FAPESP is R$ 5.333,40 per month and the candidate must to live in Araraquara, Brazil.
