Description & Requirement The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Radiology, Division of Nuclear Medicine is seeking a post-doctoral fellow. The research will take place in the laboratory of Dr. Rahmim, in collaboration with clinical research and imaging experts in the department, focusing on the development and validation of novel PET imaging techniques. In particular, the post-doctoral fellow will develop oncologic PET/CT imaging algorithms and applications for motion correction, 3D and 4D image reconstruction and image quality assessment in the context of clinical PET/CT imaging.
Requirements: The qualified candidate will have a doctoral degree in physics, medical physics, biomedical or electrical engineering, or a related field, and experience in the field of imaging, preferably with some prior experience in image reconstruction and/or simulation methods. The candidate should have a strong interest and commitment to research, and be creative with an aim towards independent research. Knowledge of C programming and familiarity with numerical methods are also preferred. This is a one-year position, but can be renewed for an additional year.
