Description & Requirement

Two postdocs are sought with availability before January 2011 with the following experience:
1.)         Polymer membrane testing and fabrication
2.)         Membrane transport modeling
Our group studies gas separation for energy applications with an emphasis on CO2 capture and sequestration. Supported ionic liquid and mixed matrix membranes are the primary focus.  The postdocs will become part of a dynamic research group addressing all aspects of membrane development including molecular modeling, synthesis and characterization of new substances, fabrication of those substances into various membrane configurations, performance testing and systems analysis.  The position will be located at the National Energy Technology Laboratory’s Pittsburgh campus, a center of excellence in CO2 capture and sequestration research.
