Description & Requirement

A postdoctoral position in polymer chemistry at the University of New Hampshire is available immediately. The successful candidate will design and synthesize new materials for a variety of applications and train graduate and undergraduate students in proper synthetic laboratory techniques. Publishing findings in high impact journals and presenting work at national/international meetings is expected.

Requirements:
•        A PhD in synthetic organic or polymer chemistry with experience with inert atmosphere techniques.
•        A demonstrated record of scientific accomplishments and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
•        Excellent written and spoken command of English.

Preferred:
•        Experience in controlled radical polymerization and/or olefin metathesis polymerization.
•        Experience polymer characterization techniques (GPC, DSC, TGA etc).
•        Experience with AFM.
