Responsibilities
The HPC research group in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University seeks qualified applicants for a Postdoctoral position to conduct research in high-performance computing. The successful candidate will work on a project whose goal is to develop architecture-sensitive compiler heuristics for enhancing performance of scientific and engineering applications on multicore and manycore platforms. This is an inter-disciplinary project and will involve collaboration with several other departments at Texas State, including Industrial Engineering, Physics and Biology.
This is a full-time position for one year, renewable annually based on funding, performance and the needs of the project. Salary is commensurate with qualification.
Qualifications
Required:
The candidate should have earned a PhD in Computer Science at the time of appointment and needs to have research background in one or more of the following areas: (1) high-performance computing (2) compilers (3) computer architecture (4) embedded systems.
Preferred:
Experience in multi-core optimization
