LECTURESHIP IN FOOD SCIENCE

The School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, University College Cork, is seeking to make a permanent full-time appointment in Food Science to contribute to its research and teaching in that area.  Applications are invited for the above full-time permanent post.

Applicants must hold a doctoral qualification in Food Science or a related area. The appointee will be required to contribute teaching to the BSc Food Science and in food science modules across a range of other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and to develop an independent research programme(s) in the field of Food Ingredients and Food Structure.  Evidence of peer-reviewed publication and the potential to establish a research programme capable of attracting external funding and establishing collaborative links with the Food industry will also be expected.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate the capacity to complement and enhance existing research interests and themes within the School.

Salary scale (new entrants): €35,357 - €56,967 per annum - Lecturer below the bar
                              €62,353 – €81,459 per annum - Lecturer above the bar
