Description & Requirement

The Prusiner Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead projects that aim to elucidate the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases using modern proteomic techniques. The Prusiner Laboratory is a world-class research facility focused on understanding and developing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases of protein misfolding and has access to an array of state-of-the-art mass spectrometers and related equipment.

This position requires a Ph.D. in a related field with a strong background in proteomic research. Experience with mass spectrometry instrumentation and bioinformatic tools is required. Additional experience with molecular biology and mammalian cell culture is desirable.
