Description & Requirement Raffles Design Institute, Tianjin Announcement of Faculty Vacancy POSITION: Instructor in Fashion Design Appointment 2010-2012 Academic Year DATE OF APPOINTMENT: June, 2010 SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Full-Time Instructor's needed to instruct and facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment. • Provide career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. • Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, and diversity, as well as personal and professional development. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field Master's degree strongly preferred • 3 - 5 years of responsible experience in industry and /or teaching • Strong interpersonal skills • Proficient in applicable design concepts and tools. • Pattern Development and Garment Construction • Gerber computer skills preferred EXPERIENCE: • Provides competency-based education • Designs class instruction • Delivers learner-centered instruction • Manages the classroom environment • Relates industry experience to learning THE COLLEGE: Raffles Design Institute, Tianjin is located in Tianjin.
