Description & Requirement Instructional Technology Specialist FP363
The Center for Learning and Teaching, a unit of Distance Learning at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, invites qualified candidates to submit applications for the position of Instructional Technology Specialist. Old Dominion University is a national leader in distance learning and alternative delivery models. This position will provide programming and technology support for the production of instructional materials.
Requirements: Candidates must have a Masters degree, or a Bachelors degree and a minimum of two years work experience. The candidate must have in-depth, hands-on expertise in software development and website development utilizing programming languages and associated technologies. Project management skills, excellent communication skills (written, verbal) and strong interpersonal skills are also required.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Flash, mobile app development, audio/video, PHP, XML, MS SQL, HTML5, Blackboard, Adobe products, and ActionScript.
This is a faculty-level position with a competitive salary and a full benefits package including health and dental, pension plan, and generous annual leave.
