Description & Requirement The School of Management of Carlow University invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant or associate professor. We are seeking academically qualified individuals in criminal justice and accounting/finance with a commitment to the values of liberal education and to the mission and Catholic identity of the University.
Chair - Masters of Science in Fraud and Forensics
The Chair will lead the newly created Masters of Science in Fraud and Forensics program. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree with an emphasis in criminal justice or related discipline; engaged in distinctive scholarship activities and effective teaching; and demonstrated excellence serving in an administrative capacity. The applicant will demonstrate the ability to represent the School and to work effectively within the University and across the external communities which it serves. The position involves developing and teaching courses in a digital learning environment.
Criminal Justice Faculty
All areas of specialization will be considered; preference will be given to specialties that complement and/or extend departmental strengths, including white-collar crime, law and society, technology and criminal justice. Desirable attributes include effective teaching, the capability to engage in distinctive scholarly activities, and the ability to take part in discipline related community outreach programs and projects. Successful candidates will be expected to teach and develop courses in a digital learning environment at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Accounting Faculty
The individual in this position will possess multiple areas of expertise with an emphasis on financial accounting and intermediate accounting theory classes. A Masters degree is required and the CPA credential and/or a doctorate is preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience in forensic accounting and CFE certification. Successful candidates will be expected to teach and develop courses in a digital learning environment at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
