Description & Requirement

Type of position: part-time, independent contractor


Class Locations:

Classes are held in major metro areas across the country.  All instructional materials are developed and shipped to the hotel for the instructors to pick up.

 

Audience:  Professionals in the health, social and financial industries who serve seniors.

 

Time commitment:  4 to 12 classes in a 12-month period; total time commitment for one class is a maximum of 3 days:  1-1/2 days round-trip travel plus 1-12 days teaching.

 

Faculty Requirements:

¨      A master’s degree or higher in a field related to aging (a bachelor’s degree with experience and/or other professional credentials may be acceptable, depending on the individual’s qualifications.)

¨      5 years of experience in a field related to working with seniors

¨      Engaging and interesting presentation and teaching styles

 

Number of topics taught:

A minimum of 7 topics live starting out (remaining topics are videos by other instructors); learn up to 12 topics to deliver live within a reasonable amount of time.

Fee:  $1,000 for a full day of instruction (8 modules); $500 for a half day (4 modules), with a per diem for meals and reimbursement of air, hotel and travel expenses.
