Description & Requirement

The Department of Biology at Brigham Young University (BYU) invites applications for a continuing faculty status (BYU’s equivalent to tenure) track position in the area of computational biology. We seek exceptional individuals with a PhD and postdoctoral experience relevant to computational biology, including degrees in areas of biology, computer science, mathematics, and/or statistics. The successful candidate is expected to develop an externally funded research program and teach courses in computational biology and the biology core. The department offers competitive start-up packages and reduced teaching loads for new faculty. The anticipated start date for this position is January or August 2011.
