Description & Requirement

Pre-College Programs (PCP) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-oriented candidate to teach in its summer residential program.  The PCP Faculty Fellow-in-Residence will support the implementation of the Digital Cultures and Innovations Living Learning Community (LLC), an educational experience designed to take student learning beyond the classroom walls.  This LLC will have a theme that is reflected in the unit’s evening activities and ultimately in a community service project and group project that will enhance the learning experience. The successful candidate must be willing to live on campus and be able to provide a rich curriculum to high school students interested in combining art, imagination, and global citizenship with new media and technologies.  Specific focus will be placed in using a multidisciplinary team approach to help students produce digital art, computer games, or online communities.  The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Secondary Education, Visual Arts, Computer Science, Journalism or related field (PhD preferred), demonstrated leadership in their field, and at least five years of teaching experience.
