Director/Scholar Ad
The University of Pittsburgh seeks a Director / Scholar at the Assistant Professor level to teach undergraduate courses in directing and performance and an occasional seminar for graduate students.  Applicants must have a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) and substantial acting/directing experience on the national level.  A record of published scholarship is desirable.  Three years of teaching at the university level also required.  The successful candidate will join our flourishing BA, MFA (in Performance Pedagogy), and MA/PhD programs, direct main stage productions, and advise undergraduate and graduate students on a variety of artistic and scholarly projects.   Pending budgetary approval, the position will begin September 1, 2011.  Send cover letter, C.V., evidence of teaching effectiveness and artistic achievement, and three letters of recommendation to:
