The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) specific training, diagnostic and behavioral consultative services to New Mexican children with ASD and their families, educators and providers. The CDD plays a crucial role in the disability field in New Mexico by providing interdisciplinary training, dissemination of information, applied research, policy development and analysis, and clinical services throughout the state and addresses disability issues across the lifespan.  Rank is dependant on qualifications and experience and the position is open track. Opportunities are available to participate in program development activities and applied research.  Department will consider both part-time and full-time (.50fte up to 1.0fte) applicants for this position.

Minimum qualifications:  
•        PhD in clinical psychology or an equivalent degree
•        Eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in New Mexico
•        Authorized to work in the United States
•        Experience in the diagnosis of autism spectrum and related developmental disorders in toddlers and school-aged children
•        Experience with interdisciplinary team participation and consultation to school teams on behavioral issues
•        Experience with relevant assessment tools

Preferred experience:
•        With early intervention and school systems
•        Mentoring
•        Multidisciplinary teaching
•        Working as part of a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary clinical team with demonstrated capacity to work effectively with both professional and para-professional level staff from other disciplines

•        Completion of an APA accredited clinical internship is preferred
