Clinical Psychologist Faculty Position Posting #0805263 Albuquerque, New Mexico The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide diagnostic developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers and home-based therapeutic intervention for infants and toddlers. The CDD plays a crucial role in the disability field in New Mexico by providing interdisciplinary training, dissemination of information, applied research, policy development and analysis, and clinical services throughout the state and addresses disability issues across the lifespan. Rank and salary is dependant on qualifications and experience. Opportunities are available to participate in program development activities and applied research. Department will consider both part-time and full-time (.50fte up to 1.0fte) applicants for this position. Minimum qualifications: • Candidates must have a PhD in clinical psychology or an equivalent degree • Must be eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in New Mexico • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Experience required in providing assessment and evaluation of children birth to three • Experience required with relevant assessment tools, examples of which are the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), Bayley Scales of Infant Development, 3rd Edition (BSID-III), Batelle Developmental Inventory, Mullen Scales of Early Learning, Infant-Toddler Social Emotional Assessment (ITSEA), Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale (or other adaptive measures) • Experience required in providing home-based therapeutic intervention for infants, toddlers and their caregivers/families from a relationship-based, family centered, infant mental health perspective • Experience required supervising clinical trainees and/or other professional. Preferred qualifications: Preferred experience with • early intervention and school systems • mentoring • multidisciplinary teaching • Completion of an APA accredited clinical internship is preferred • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary clinical team with demonstrated capacity to work effectively with both professional and para-professional level staff from other disciplines is preferred. • Experience assessing developmental skills, impact of contextual and environmental risk factors on development, exploring the impact of developmental and other factors on behavior, and providing diagnostics around Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental/ neurodevelopmental conditions or diagnoses • Knowledge of the Part C Early Intervention System and of Early Childhood Mental Health principles and practices is preferred • Familiar with the Diagnostic Classification: 0-3R. • Bilingual Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
