Associate Faculty Spring Quarter 2011 Business and Information Technology: Networking, Web Technology, Video Games, and Programming Cascadia Community College, ranked the No. 2 community college in the U.S. and co-located on a campus with the University of Washington, approximately 18 miles northeast of Seattle, is seeking an innovative, collaborative and dynamic individual for the position of Associate Faculty – Business and Information Technology. Cascadia's Faculty Cascadia Community College is accepting applications for an Associate Faculty – Business and Information Technology: Networking, Web Technology, Video Games, and Programming position for Spring Quarter 2011. We are seeking applicants with expertise and/or interest in an outcomes-based curriculum, alternative pedagogies, learning technologies, and collaborative work. Position Information: This vacancy announcement is for instructors to teach BIT 126: Client Network Systems, BIT 220: Elements of Project Management, and BIT 286: Web Applications. Minimum Qualifications: Associate faculty will teach professional/technical courses and must have or be able to qualify for post-secondary vocational certification. This includes: •Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution •Significant and recent industry experience (two years out of last five years) related to the specific teaching field Preferred qualifications: •Coursework in MIS/CIS, computer software engineering, computer science or related academic area. Added value is brought to these positions by candidates who carry relevant industry certification.
